Super AMOLED Plus report received

A few days ago there was a post enquiring about Super AMOLED Plus resolution.

The answer that was received confirms that the speculations about the pentile matrix were incorrect. What is now known that the pentile matrix uses 2 sub pixels for each pixel while the real RGB matrix, known as Real Stripe at Samsung, uses 3 sub pixels for each pixel. This means a 50% increase.

The answer received also indicates that the Real Stripe Matrix also uses up more space per pixel. This is the explanation for the fact that a 4.3 inch display using Real Stripe Matrix has the same resolution that is available in a 4 inch display using pentile matrix.

But this display should actually be clearer because sub pixels are more and the matrix design is better. Samsung has also said that Super AMOLED Plus displays are not only clearer but brighter and thinner too and use 18% less energy than Super AMOLED.
