Taiwanese firm orders bulk amount of TCZ-900B

TCZ, the wholly owned subsidiary of Cymer, Inc. has received a bulk order for its TCZ-900B crystallization system.

A Taiwanese flat panel manufacturer has done the order booking. The TCZ-900B crystallization system offers the best throughput for Generation 4 tools and is used for mass production of advanced LCD and next generation OLED displays that are targeted at the production of tablet computers and advanced mobile devices.

The large gains that TCZ has had in the OLED market are due to its improvements in laser beam control. The TCZ-900B crystallization system helps reduce cost and complexity in the manufacturing of OLED displays and has helped more flat panel display manufacturers to enter the market.

The patented laser crystallization technology of TCZ is backed by the light source expertise and unique optics technology of Cymer. TCZ can support different display sizes and increase panel throughput and hence their acceptance among display manufacturers.
