Dear folks,

I am disappointed to read that this 'Zeroburn' technology will make the OLED television less power efficient.

Current LCD and Plasma televisions use more power than the old cathode ray tube televisions ; the new OLED technology is supposed to use far less power. There was previously a breakthrough to enable the cheaper production of OLED televisions ; perhaps it will soon be possible to achieve the making of longer lasting OLED televisions which do NOT use more power.

An important point : if OLED televisions were already going to last approximately 20 years (under normal usage) before 'Zeroburn', then why not consider scrapping the 'Zeroburn' technology. That is, I feel sure that most people would prefer a television that ran economically for twenty years, rather than a television that ran un-economically for 25 or 30 years.

Comments please.
