Tips For Making The OLEDs More Energy Efficient

The OLED displays are highly energy efficient. But the energy efficiency of the OLED device decreases with the application.

To make the OLED devices more adoptable and more compatible for practical use, the software must be designed to increase the energy efficiency of the OLED devices.

Some suggestions for maximizing the energy efficiency of OLEDs:

1. Use black for background.
2. Show only the applications on use and hide all others.
3. Dim the windows which are not in immediate focus.
4. Choose the display to gradually dim after a few seconds rather than an ordinary screen saver after longer stretches of time.
5. Work only on a portion of the screen.
6. Use red font which is more efficient than showing the orange or white one.
7. Use interlaced displays.

Some of the points might not be so much effective, but this could help you in saving the battery life of your OLED cell phone while traveling long distance.
