The concept of transparent OLED screens might sound a little tricky to grasp at first but they are a real prospect for the future.

If an OLED screen is transparent, what do we actually see in the display? Well the idea is that when the screen is not is use, it is more or less clear. So the OLED can be embedded in glass or other surface so it appears invisible.
When the display is turned on, part of the screen will stay clear and the rest will display the image. All of this technology is still in the R&D stage at the moment. German company Optrex Europe GmbH located near Frankfurt has just produced demonstration models for this new transparent OLED technology.
Maybe in years to come all of our OLED Televisions will be transparent – apart from the dust.
