OLEDs have proved to be very versatile. After the immense success of OLEDs as television screens, mobile phone screens and in the light industry, it is now being utilized for Touch Flexible displays. OLEDs are being used on flexible materials like metal foils and plastic. This makes the manufacturing of flexible displays possible.
Flexible OLED displays are still under production and will be launched in a few years. UDC or Universal Display Corporation of New Jersey, US, has been trying to present Touch Flexible OLEDs to the world.
The advantage of OLED is that it is readily compatible with conformable and flexible substrates unlike the other display screens like LCD. LCDs have not been able to perform well when used with flexible substances.
UDC might use their trademark phosphorescent OLED technology. The Touch flexible OLED are supposed to be lightweight with reduced power consumption. Flexible OLED is considered to be the next big thing in technology.
