Zune to use OLED

Zune is Microsoft’s brand of portable media players, Zune software and Zune Marketplace services.

Zune provides online music, podcast downloads and video. Microsoft has declared that the Zune player would only be marketed internationally when it feels that they are of significant quality and can make an impact.

The brand has been struggling a lot, but some detective work by www.wmpoweruser.com has brought to light that the new ZuneHD is set to blaze the market. Reports say that the new player will have a 3.6in capacitive multi-touch 16:9 aspect ratio OLED screen.

Using the new OLED technology, ZuneHD will enable users to choose between 16GB and 32GB flash capacities or a 120GB HDD. The report also says that the product could be launched in the US, UK, France and Canada around September. If the report is true, then Microsoft will possibly have created a dream MP3 player using OLED display.
